Mini Makers: Mid Century Modern is a creative instructional series for children aged seven to ten. Our painstakingly designed collection addresses the demand for design-focused children’s books spanning several periods, movements, and styles. We differentiate ourselves by thoughtfully considering age in content, language, and design, resulting in a unique learning experience.
We structured the book into five sections: technique, purpose, creativity, well-being, and ethics, using artist iconography and pictures to enhance comprehension as you go through it. Our mid-century modern-themed graphics blend smoothly with the overall look while the construction demonstrates a unique approach. Volume One, which focuses on Mid-Century Modern, lays the groundwork for future volumes to explore design trends, such as Bauhaus and Cubism.
This magazine has four different page sizes and is approximately 100 pages long, all wire-bound for convenience and comfort as children work on the creative challenges provided. Each of the book’s five sections has a variety of tasks aimed at engaging children while teaching design. The magazine includes perforations for easy access, folding pages for larger activities and posters, cutouts for a variety of chores, and pockets for collecting any loose things found along the way.
