“The words “designing for social value” might seem like dribble, like buzzwords a pretentious HR employee would spit out during a mandatory meeting. Yet, social value and design go much deeper than one could imagine.”
A semester of deep introspection about design and the power of design packed into one book. Each week includes a note with real and raw reflection. While every case study and exhibit are crucial for a junior designer’s process, I believe that design requires complicated conversations and consideration, and this book reflects my journey through Designing for Social Value. These conversations lay bare my soul and mind.
Printed locally, the book is passed onto the shelves of Anderson University’s design school so subsequent students can wrestle with the complicated aspects of design and social value.
