‘ECHO: Unspoken and Retold’ exemplifies the different storylines that makeup Anderson, South Carolina. Anderson University’s Design for Social Value class (Studio 329) conducted extensive research and collaborated with local businesses and organizations to identify a gap in individual narratives, resulting in communal conflict. Our purpose was to address this issue jointly, partnering with our peers and the local community to record and amplify Anderson’s various perspectives.
Our exhibit project, Echo, served as the means through which we achieved community. As a class, we aspire for Echo to foster unity within the Anderson community by showcasing the experiences of its people, which are often overlooked and untold.
As an entire class, we hope Echo will unite the Anderson community by sharing people’s experiences, as every voice counts and deserves to be heard.
